Goodbye May...Artomatic, Thank you!
Oh no, no, no, no! *gnashes teeth* May is gone and part of June and here I am, not having blogged in a helluva long time!
Maybe that's a good sign? That means I've been productive?
Alas. I might have been productive, but that still indicated laziness, on this front at least. I swore that I wouldn't start another blog, just to let it fizzle out.
Here's my June resolution: Blog once a week. I can do that, right? Of course right!
Artomatic has been, in a word: interesting. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to be around a lot of other artists, to volunteer, and see some amazing art. But I think it turned out to be for a different purpose than I expected. I understood it was a place to sell work, and that has happened, although less than I originally hoped. It seems it's for networking, more than anything else. Which is great! Art-ing gets to be lonely in your house, alone, all the time - so getting out, breathing fresh air and meeting other weird people is fantastic!
Here are some shots of opening night (back in May, but still relevant.)
Sometimes I wear a dress. And sometimes we are both smiling and not blinking in a picture.

I loved getting feedback about my work. It's one thing to be inspired, create something by yourself, like it, and tell yourself that others will too, but it's another thing to hear it from a non-biased source.
I'm not sure that I'll be involved next year...who knows where I'll be next year! But I'm glad I had this chance to showcase alongside other great talents. Cheers!
